Job opening: Secretary at a law firm (Personal Injury & Labor Law)

Joosten Advocaten is an informal and specialized law firm with approximately 35 employees. We work on cases in the field of personal injury and employment law on a daily basis, and exclusively represent victims. For our office in Amsterdam Zuid, we are looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous secretary to join our team.

Your profile

Are you a meticulous, communicative, and committed professional?
Do you have experience as a secretary, preferably in the legal sector, and would you like to play an important role in the daily practice of a law firm?
Then we would like to meet you.

You will support several lawyers within our personal injury practice.
You will ensure that the practice runs smoothly: you will monitor schedules, have frequent contact with clients, and stay up to date on current cases.
Along the way, you will learn the tricks of the trade and take on more and more responsibilities.
No two days are the same.

We work with Basenet and have modern speech recognition software, so you can work efficiently and keep track of your files.

What you will do

Secretarial support for multiple attorneys and legal assistants
Managing calendars, emails, and phone calls
Processing and handling correspondence (including via speech recognition)
Maintaining contact with clients, experts, and other parties
File management and archiving
Handling mail, administration, and document flows
Scheduling appointments and hearings

What we ask

Experience as a secretary, preferably at a law firm or legal service provider
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written
Accurate, committed, and proactive
Customer-oriented and communicative
Able to handle busy periods and priorities well
